Lullaby Of Birdland would have to be one of my most favourite jazz standards. I first heard it sung by Ella Fitzgerald. Ella has become a kind of guiding light , a true north if you will, for me as a Jazz Singer. I have recorded it a number of times, most notably with Australian Jazz Legend , Dale Barlow – ( Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers) with the group Manhattan Love Bistro 2004
