As I’m preparing for my upcoming jazz gig at Foundry616 in Sydney Australia on Bastille Day this year, July 14, I’m cruising thru a few jazz performances to get me in the mood.
I came across this beauty. A jazz standard that I learnt form Ella Fitzgerald called , ‘If I Were A Bell’.
Ella had an unmatchable exuberance and I’ve learnt so much from her over the years.
In 2002 pianist Kevin Hunt and I took to the studio I had built in Balmain ( Syd AU ) and knocked out this classic. I hope you enjoy it ! Let me know in the comments. Are you a fan of swinging jazz !
