I remember the first time I heard this track from Joni Mitchell’s, ‘Wild Things Run Fast’ album. I was blown away. It must’ve been the late 80’s. The way she is able to weave poetry, melody and lush chords together, is so beautiful and so genius to me.
That the lyrics are the very famous and quintessential passage on love written by the apostle Paul in his letter to the Corinthians was another level of mind blown .
Approaching this song is really the high tower dive of cover songs let me tell you. And this is my 1st shot at it. I was really please with the way it came out.
