At the start of the 2020 , like many others, I found myself with quite a bit of downtime.
And at home.
So I picked up my trusty Tomkins Custom guitar and began to learn Joni Mitchell songs – entering into the wonder world that is , opening tuning.
Today, I’m revisiting Coyote. A song she wrote about actor and movie maker Sam Shepard. Joni performed this song live in The Last Waltz ; a Martin Scorsese a Rockumentary released in April 1978.
It’s fantastic to see her well enough to perform again, having overcome some serious health issues over the last many years.
I hope you enjoy this homage to one of my musical, songwriting, poet and painter heroes.
