My Tribute To ONJ

Oliva Newton John

Olivia was without a doubt one of my first musical heroes .

In 1974 she released the song , ‘I Honestly Love You’, on the album Long Live Love in United Kingdom and If You Love Me, Let Me Know in the United States. The song became a worldwide pop hit, her first number-one single in the United States and Canada.

I was smitten. She was beautiful, Australian and sang like an angel. When she passed recently , ( I still get a little teary ) , it was the end of an era for me , and many others I expect. Especially Australians. I fashioned myself as a young pre-teen on stage, as my version of ONJ and Evie Tournquist . These were the days when microphones had leads. See pics !

Today I recorded my tribute to her. I’ve had it on my mind for a while and today I got the chance to say, thank you Olivia. Thank you for all that you gave us. It was significant . We loved you and you were a big part of our lives. I hope you enjoy this version of her iconic song.
