On December 15th this year, 2022, I’m heading into the studio with pianist Kelvin Haisman to record a Jazz EP of standards. Having retired my music career for about 2 years now , I truly never thought I’d sing publicly again or ever record. I was burnt out where music was concerned. Actually I was just burnt out full stop. Slowly , painting brought me back to life. And working on Joni Mitchell covers with my beautiful Tomkins guitar. Musically speaking , that’s the only thing that interested me.
Then one day, via the Joni connection , I met a Producer / Musician in the States by the name of Jeff Eacho. He makes amazing music and working with him on original music, piqued my interest. We began to work on some material . Still I had no intention of sharing it. But I will. One day.
These new steps into my music are very different to how it’s been in the recent past.
There’s joy. And that makes all the difference.
